Veneers
Veneers can correct discoloration, chipped or broken teeth, spaces, or even crooked teeth, in just as little as two dental visits. You can change the shape, size and color of your teeth with porcelain veneers. Using the best materials available all porcelain veneers are fabricated by a laboratory specially trained in all areas of expertise. We have a hand picked team that fabricates all of our porcelain restorations at a microdental lab to give you the smile you have always dreamed of. Click here for information on MACVENEERS.
This process involves removing an extremely thin layer of the tooth structure to make room for the veneer. We will than take an impression of the teeth, and complete the final bonding procedure at the second visit. Porcelain veneers will brighten and straighten your smile in as little as two visits.
Whitening or Bleaching
Often people with stained or discolored teeth may just prefer to bleach their teeth to restore their smile.
Teeth bleaching products actually change the natural tooth color up to 12 shades lighter.
We offer two bleaching methods at our office:
- Zoom!
- Take home bleaching
Zoom!
Zoom! in-office bleaching can be done in about an hour and offers immediate results. Zoom! is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure. It is safe, effective and fast. In just over an hour your teeth will be dramatically whiter.
The convenience of Zoom!
In comparison to days of using trays or strips Zoom! is the perfect choice to fit your busy schedule!
Take-home bleaching
Take home bleaching trays are controlled by you. At home you wear thin plastic trays with gel inside the trays. This process takes about two weeks.
Tooth-colored fillings
Porcelain
This material is recommended if a lot of tooth structure is lost or damaged. Porcelain can also rebuild a badly worn or broken down tooth.
Composite
Composite is one material used to replace old silver or mercury fillings or to fill in an area of tooth that has decayed. Composite is a resin material that can be used as an alternative to porcelain in some cases. It is not as strong as porcelain or your natural tooth and may need more frequent replacement.
Crowns
Many crowns are manufactured utilizing a metal lining coated with porcelain. Unlike natural teeth, these kinds of restorations are not transparent. Thus, they do not have a natural appearance. Often, there is a dark line next to the gum. We provide all porcelain crowns that will look just like a natural tooth. Porcelain is the best material for strength and longevity and is ideal to fill cavities, rebuild tooth structure, or replace missing teeth. Crowns are the best option to repair broken teeth that have multiple fractures, large broken down fillings or decay. Crowns cover the visible structure of the tooth and increase the strength of the tooth. Porcelain crowns are bonded to the teeth to prevent further leakage or decay.
Bridges
Another choice for replacing missing teeth is a bridge. A bridge is made of porcelain and uses the teeth on each side of the missing tooth and connects together to replace the missing tooth. It is then bonded to the teeth on each side and is not removable.
Implant Restorations
In some cases patients have one or more teeth missing for various reasons. They may have the option of replacing the tooth with an implant. In most cases a specialist will place the implant and after healing, the patient will return to our office to complete the procedure by placing the crown over the implant. Implants are an excellent choice if the patient has good, healthy bone and does not want a removable partial.
Dentures/Dentures with Implants
In some cases a patient may have lost all their teeth due to various reasons and will need dentures as a replacement. There are two types of dentures. One is the traditional denture and the other is an implant-supported denture. With the implant-supported denture, you will have a more stable denture. This is accomplished by placing a small button inside the denture that attaches to previously placed implants.
